Patrick is the recycling and waste consultant for the 2022 edition of the Guiness World Records.

Patrick is the author of ”Hacia un reciclaje inclusivo: experiencias y desafíos de la formalización de clasificadores de residuos en Montevideo (Towards Inclusive Recycling: experiences and challenges in the formalization of wastepickers in Montevideo)”, part of the “Aportes para impulsar la economía circular y mejorar la gestión de los residuos sólidos en Uruguay (Contributions to promote the circular economy and improve solid waste management in Uruguay” series. Patrick is an advisor to the Uruguayan NGO Compromiso Empresarial para el Reciclaje (Corporate Commitment to Recycling), with whom he has contributed to Uruguay +Circular, the Uruguayan National Waste Management Plan.

WIEGO

Patrick has written about Extended Producer Responsibilities (EPR) policies in Uruguay and their impact on waste-pickers for the international NGO Women in Informal Employment Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO).
